Pallet wrapping is a technique where a thin plastic film is wrapped around a pallet or product, manually or mechanically. Call it wrapping, stretch wrapping or pallet wrapping, it all means the same thing.
The basic goal is that products are bundled, secured and/or protected. Damage, dirt or falling over during transport and storage are things to avoid. Pallet wrapping ensures more protection and safety. It helps you products to be transported well, undamaged and at the lowest (total) cost in order to send them from A to B.
Wrapping a pallet means wrapping several layers of thin plastic film around the load or a product. This can be done by hand or with the aid of a machine. You can use various types of pallet wrapping machines: the turntable, arm, ring and robot wrapper and the horizontal wrapper. Each type has its own specific characteristics.
From a few pallets per hour, the capacity becomes too high for manual wrapping. Matco International provides a wide range of several pallet wrapping machines. If you have outgrown manual wrapping, you can choose a semi-automatic or fully automatic pallet wrapping machine. The choice is all yours.
Semi-automatic pallet machines offer a solution when manual pallet wrapping won’t do anymore. They have a capacity of 20-25 pallets per hour. The wrapping cycle is fully automated. This means each load has the same wrapping pattern. The pre-stretch system stretches the wrapping film to the desired pre-stretch percentage.
Or choose fully automatic pallet wrapping. Now and then, operators only need to replace a film roll, the wrapping is completely automated. The machines have several wrapping programs to choose from. The different loads can be processed interchangeably; the pallet wrapping machine selects the right way to wrap the load. The capacities range up to 150 pallets/hour.
